A popular United Kingdom-based political analyst and social media influencer, Kayode Ogundamisi has indirectly suggested that Professor Isaac Adewole should resign from Buhari’s cabinet over the NHIS controversies.

Isaac Adewole
President Muhammadu Buhari’s controversial re-instatement of the suspected Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme, Prof. Usman Yusuf, has continued to dominate discussions on media platforms with Nigerians offering their disparate views.
Kayode Ogundamisi, a former staunch supporter of the Buhari administration who is fast withdrawing his support, wonders why Professor Adewole hasn’t tendered his resignation letter after the President undermined his authority by recalling a man he suspended on the 6th of July, 2017 for alleged corruption.
“I am surprised Nigeria’s Minister of Health is yet to resign to protest @NGRPresident @MBuhari undermining his office and less surprised @MBuhari gives no monkey about the optics of some of his decisions.” Ogundamisi reiterated on Twitter with his followers joining the political discussion.
Yusuf, who is being probed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission, was accused of perpetrating fraud to the tune of N919m.
Yusuf according to reports has remained daring and arrogant in the face of the 23 allegation of fraud brought against him. When a Punch correspondent reached out to him to respond to the allegations levelled against him last December, Yusuf had said, “F*ck you, and f*ck the minister.”
He was recently grilled for 12 good hours by the EFCC recently.
