Neymar to PSG
Spanish paper Marca have delivered bad news to FC Barcelona fans on Wednesday.
Stopping just short of saying the deal is a lock, Marca have prepared their readers for Neymar to complete his summer transfer to PSG.
Readers are informed that “Barcelona have run out of bullets” in their efforts to keep the Brazilian star at the Camp Nou. In a telling sentence, they report:
Except for a surprising turn of events, Neymar will wear the Paris Saint-Germain jersey before the end of the summer.
Should the deal come to pass, PSG will shatter the world’s record transfer fee laying out 222 million on the 25-year-old striker.
Coutinho to Barcelona
Taking it as read that Neymar will leave Barca, Marca report that the Catalans are on the lookout for alternatives.
One of the players on Barca’s shopping list is Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho.
Marca offer little information on the likelihood of Coutinho leaving Anfield, save for repeating the news from Spanish radio station RAC 1 that the Liverpool star has agreed personal terms with the Catalans.
Of course, that doesn’t mean the deal is definitely happening. Barcelona need to convince Liverpool to sell their star, and the Reds have been steadfast saying Coutinho is staying put.
What about Dybala?
Another alternative transfer target is Juventus’s Paulo Dybala.
This week the Argentine star got many people excited when he signed a Barcelona jersey.
Marca reveal that Barca have contract Dybala’s representatives, although it’s again unclear whether Juve will agree to sell.
The 23-year-old recently signed a new deal with Juve keeping him in Turin until 2022.
